CHANDIGARH: To spread happiness in their world on
Rakshabandhan, a group of students under the NGO SATHI organized an art and painting competition for 300 underprivileged children at Government Middle School, Sector 52, here on Monday.
The students had organized a rakhi competition for under-privileged kids to make them feel special. Around 20-25 students under different age groups from classes VIII and IX spend took part in the event.
Saina Kohli, a student said, "We came with zeal to teach these kids.
As these children hail from a poor background, we decided to provide them the same." Another student
Yachika Sharma said, "We all wanted to spend time with these kids so that they feel how special they are to us. The smiles on their faces made our day". Punita Vadhara, running an NGO said, "Besides imparting education to kids, we also teach them etiquettes and maintenance of hygiene."
